It Girl to play Elle?Red-hot High School Musical 2 star Ashley Tisdale, 22, has recently signed with MGM studios to star in a straight-to-DVD movie, Picture This. MGM has also committed to a new DVD installment of Legally Blonde, and Tisdale is being considered to replace Reese Witherspoon as everyone's favorite blond genius Elle Woods. Jason Weiss, VP of MGM’s DVD division announced:Ashley is clearly a huge talent and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with her on this movie. She has built an incredible following and has become an icon for today’s teen audience."In Picture This, the Tis plays Mandy, a high school student invited to a party by the most popular boy. The problem is that she’s grounded and will have to find a way around her punishment in order to attend. Fellow Disney actor Robbie Arnell plays that boy, Drew Patterson. Ashley has become an international teen idol, was named one of People magazine’s Hottest Stars Under 25 and released a hit album, Headstrong.
